For the under-educated, Herb, Auntie Nanaface, and Spot are from 2008-9’s Series 2 Sock Puppet Portraits, all of whom have songs they wrote themselves.

The final three songs that have taken a bit longer have each been collaborations with artists who I adore (Sebastian’s was with Paradise Dan of Uncle Monsterface). This final song is a collaboration with Perfect Jimmy, and it’s ver appropriate that this should be so. You see, Perfect Jimmy and I have been successfully collaborating for well over a decade. Which is crazy (we even collaborate on taking care of our dog…). Jims went all out on this one, lending not only his vocal talents, but also creating the whole composition you hear. Above and beyond the call of greatness…

I am busily working on a new series of puppets and other wonderments for your benefit and mine.  I won’t be returning to the streets o NY to peddle my wares until March, but while we all wait, here is

ATTENTION!
December 16th is the last day that I can receive mail orders and GUARANTEE that I will get them to you for Giftmas.
If you order after that, I’ll do my best.

I will be selling my Sock Puppet Portraits in New York’s Union Square Park as often as possible leading up to Giftstmas-kah.  I AM NOT inside the gigantic red and red/white tent city.  I’m hopefully somewhere outside of it.  It gets tricky around Christmas.  Look around, or e-mail me if you are having troubles finding me.

As in the past, the best days to find me are still Fri-Sun, but as we get closer to Gifty Day, I’ll try to be out as often as humanly possible (I’ll increase days significanty after December 10th).

After the 24th (or so), you won’t see me again for at least two months. Art hibernation!

hi internet,
i’ve secretly been working on a not-sock-puppety body of 2-d work for the last couple of months, and barring lots of rain, i’m going to try and try it out tomorrow - friday, october 23 - in union square. if the new little set-up works, i probably won’t bring it out on all the time (due to space limitations). but i’m excited. it’s robots!

this friday is also probably the only day i’ll be out selling in the square this week. i gots to go to some nuptials. come say hi!

Before signing off, I’ll drop one more reminder that Uncle Monsterface, Sock puppet and human rock band, will be facerocking at Florida’s amazing festival, Nerdapalooza, July 11-12 with tons of amazing artists like MC Chris, MC Lars, The Protomen, and 8 billion other incredible nerd artists! We’re tentatively scheduled for the evening of the 12th, but come for the whole thing, as it will be amazing. This is our only foray outside of the east coast this summer, so come on down en masse.
