Last day of the season – Tuesday Dec 23

Hi world of worlds.
Sorry if it has been difficult to find me out selling this holiday season – the weather has been a beast of inimitable burden and unrelenting despair. I am often found shaking my fist into the air, cursing a blind and unseeing force for its cruelty and lackluster dance moves (even moreso than usual).

But fear not! There is one good dae left in me. Ayup -the outlook is good (says the 8ball) for me to make it to Union Square all day tomorrow, December 23. Until I drop (I’ll pack up at 5pm at the earliest, 8pm at the latest). I’ll either be on 14th or on the inside area. Ish. Come and get your puppety pictures and goods while the getting is not only good, but also gracious and at times articulate (and delicious if served with a radish on the side).

Okay Okay. Happy Everything.

Last Day of Mail orders TODAY! Where else to find me and etc…

Greetings, Friends of the Sock Puppet Portrait arts!

Happy bizarre weather-patterned holidays to you and yours, my friends!

Alert!
Today, yes – TODAY is the LAST DAY that I am able to accept mail orders for Sock Puppet Portraits (and drawings) via the US Postal System and guarantee their delivery in time for X-mas merriments.
Check that list twice and scoot on over to the fancy new
martystuff.com
and place your orders now or forever hold your pieces.

For those still scrambling to find me selling my puppety wares out in New York’s glorious Union Square Park, I will be out as often as possible until my last day, December 23. This is all weather (and inventory and physical strength) permitting – I can be found from the ungodly wee hours of the morning until 6 or 7pm – often on 14th Street but sometimes further on “the inside” of the market between 14th and 15th near the Ghandi statue. After Dec 23rd I will disappear to several parts unknown for at least 2 months…

And more importantly:
Thanks to one and all for your support in my crazy endeavor. I am constantly grateful that I can do this ridiculous and sprawling art project for a living – even moreso in our financially unwieldy times.

And most importantly:
Biggest and bestest of all the holiday wishes during this presenty season from all of the puppets and even the guy who makes and sells them.

Love,
marty

ps. I promise to do my best to get all 6 of the new Sock Puppet Myspace profiles up and running and singing during January and February…And more importantly I’ll be making new puppets, too!

X-mas Shipping Warningsz!

Hi new web site,
I am only able to guarantee that I will be physically able to fill Sock Puppet Portrait (or drawings)orders for Christmas that are placed on or before DECEMBER 16. Sorry for the narrow window of opportunity, and I’ll do my best with orders placed after that (and before….if it gets too crazy I’ll post a notice…)The sooner you order, the better. I’m a one puppety-man operation.

thanks and thanks,
lovemarty

Welcome to the New Martystuff.com!

Just in time for the holidays, all 27 Sock Puppet Portraits are now available via the internet!

The web site is a little bit clunky in its glory, but we here at Monsterface Industries felt it was best to get it out there and fix it over time. The people must have their puppety pictures!

Additionally, the new web site has started to live up to its name now, too. Previously on martystuff.com, there were just 9 puppet pictures. I’ve added all the puppets as well as shining gateways to all the music stuff, a page for drawings (only a few now, more soon), some of my graphic design, and even a crummy bio. The best thing about it is that the site’s very flexible.

I’m definitely looking for feedback about the new site, so let me know what you think. Preferably in verse.

Super huge beyond-the-realm-or-scope-of-that-which-we-can-perceive-in-our-normal-spectrum-of- sight-or-taste-thanks to Paradise Dan Brennan of Uncle Monsterface fame for all of his help in setting this site up. He’s the reluctant and extraordinary web master for Uncle Monsterface, and it is no mistake that my new site looks a lot like ours. Thanks, Dan. You rule both schools, several of their pools, and the candy machine that I think is haunted.

Go buy puppety pictures!

yay!
