Greetings, mysterious world of the internet,
The rumours are true, I have been gleefully holed-up in my palatial puppety workshop making a pile of new guys and gals to release upon the now-suspecting world of Sock Puppet Portrait watchers this spring.
I’m making them for other more secretive and/or speculative reasons, too, but for all of the intents and the purposes, let’s just think of these as Series 2.5, which should premiere in an exciting manner this march-ish!
By way of indulging my conspicuous ego-mania, as you may have already noted I’ve been taking pictures while I worked (a fact made more compulsively possible by the new little digital camera I gots). Above you see me going through the intense sock-finding process (disturbingly enough, it actually is quite intense). I spend far too much time studying socks. You then see some shots of my magical-fantastic (and recently proudly and somewhat precariously re-organized) “Closet O’ Stuff” (I’m sure you’ve heard all about it…), with a feature shot of the coveted “Box O’ Eyes”. Dr. Indiana Jones himself went looking for that and couldn’t find it (the cool younger Indiana). Below, check out sketches for the new lot, and stay tuned for more nifty looks at stuff!
So alluring and intriguing! Series 2.5 will be like it’s predecessor, Series 1.5, and will feature three new trios of conceptually-related puppets. It just might premiere in a similar manner, as well… More to come, and I haven’t forgotten about the Series 2 Myspace Songs! I’m multi-tasking!
