I makes a lot of Music!
The most relevant, contemporary, and publicly prolific musical endeavor is the sock puppet and human rock band that I am parts of: Uncle Monsterface. I sing and make puppets and write music with three other cool humans and a bunch of puppets and some big monsters. Listen to all of it at the above and aforementioned sister site or on The Myspace or on the Facebook. What about FRIENDSTER?!

Uncle Monsterface is a multimedia extravaganza, featuring sock puppets and humans rocking out together (at last) along with a crazed and theatrical live rock show, and a “show” Monsterface makes themselves on Youtube called Monsterface Tee Vee, all of which sort of intertwines and becomes a weird big party. Uncle Monsterface has toured nationally and often plays in New York (where they currently reside) and Boston (their original home town). Uncle Monsterface has released one ep and two full length albums, all of which are available in hard copy form at the Monster Mall, or on
.
I also makes a lot of songs by myself. Check them out via the OLDE blog at:
martystuff.blogspot where you’ll find the currently atrophying song project “Peanut Butter and Jellery” as well as records of the three iterations of Song-A-Day from 2005-06 (30 days of songs created 3 times = 90 songs), a project which laid much of the early groundwork for Uncle Monsterface.
More songs are made, but I don’t put them anywhere right now. Beg and hope.
Some of the sock puppets make up songs of their own, too. For instance, here is one by Spot the Elusive Dinosaur.
Would you like to make a song with me or to tell me something? Just write to sockpuppetportraits(at)martystuff.com.
