Announcing Mermaid Unicorn Mountain’s third single, Pluto. The single features the interstellar vocal guest, Naeemah Maddox.

In celebration of  life, living it, and our upcoming Massachusetts shows, Mermaid Unicorn Mountain is releasing our song dedicated to the dwarf planet who shares a name with a cartoon dog, Pluto.

Pluto is a the Neptunian object discovered by Clyde Tombaugh at the Lowell observaory in 1930. It is the ninth-largest and tenth-most-massive known object to directly orbit the Sun. Originally designated the ninth planet, in 2006 science decided it was no longer big enough.

Pluto is also a cartoon dog created by Walt Disney and Norm Ferguson, also discovered in 1930. As of this writing, it is still considered a cartoon dog.

Mermaid Unicorn Mountain was discovered in 2019, and consists of Marty Allen and Joe Jakubowski. As of this writing, we are still designated a band, a place, and a state of mind. 

‘Pluto’ is Mermaid Unicorn Mountain’s third single. It is and has been approximately our closing song at each of the joyful shows we’ve played, designated as such because we really enjoy sharing it. We particularly enjoy having the audience sing along, and encourage you to do so. Pick whatever part you want.
